We are a team of practising ambulance paramedics, emergency room doctors, nurses and teachers who have one common goal:

TO HELP SAVE CHILDRENS LIVES!


Family First Aid is a family business, based in Port Stephens. We service all areas of NSW with our main focus being the regions of Nelson Bay and Port Stephens, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, Gosford and the Central Coast, the Mid/North Coast and Sydney.
 

 

Meet our Staff

John – Paramedic
John is an active paramedic with the Ambulance Service. He has qualifications in Paramedical Science as well as a Masters of Education. Currently he works on the road attending to emergency cases, and also has the responsibility of training new paramedics. John has many years experience in treating children’s injuries and illnesses, as well as a wealth of experience in teaching and presenting courses.

Michael – ER Doctor
Michael is a practising doctor, currently working in the emergency department of 2 hospitals. He is also the father of 7 children! His knowledge and experience are an invaluable resource; he uses his skills everyday to save critically injured children. He is at the forefront of his field, and is able to pass this knowledge, expertise and experience on through the Family First Aid courses, in particular through the Children’s First aid workshop.

Jayne – Nurse
Jayne was educated as a nurse, and is the mother of 7 children. Jayne worked in the emergency rooms of hospitals, and has also spent many years raising her own children. Jayne brings a unique blend of skills to Family First Aid, she has the professional training and skills from nursing and emergency room work, as well as the skills and understanding that come from raising 7 children.

Sue – Teacher
Sue is a young mother; she is a trained teacher and has qualifications in business management. Sue is the driving force behind Family First Aid. She spends countless hours both in and out of the office, ensuring that the quality of all Family First Aid courses is of the highest standard. Sue prides herself on the reputation of Family First Aid, and loves nothing more than seeing happy, confident and knowledgeable parents, teachers and carers who have taken part in our courses.
